So today, I drove down to Washington, checked my PO Box, parked my car at the Post Office, walked back to the border, walked across the border, was picked up by a friend and a few hours later was driven back to the border, walked back across, picked up my car in the U.S. and drove back across into Canada … don’t ask why.
Anyway, as I was driving into the U.S. the first time, there was only one car in front of me in line. Then, it was my turn. The border guard was the slowest border guard I’ve ever had. He was very thorough and took his job very seriously. BUT…He was very nice, probably one of the top 3 nicest U.S. border guards I’ve ever met. AND…out of the 120+ times that I’ve crossed the border, he was the ONLY border guard who ever said the following words to me, “Welcome back to the United States”.
That completely made my day! I was very happy.
And then, to top it off, a couple hours later when I drove back into Canada, the border guard was the same one that had assisted me when I walked back into Canada a few hours earlier and she said, “Haven’t I already seen you tonight?” So I laughed.
Well…that’s all.

- You begin using IMDb and Official Fan Pages instead of Facebook to check up on what you’re friends are up to.
- You refer to the entertainment industry as “The Industry” … yes, the only one.
- You can’t remember the last time you’ve seen a TV show or a movie which someone you know WASN’T involved in.
- One of the books which you are constantly reading and always going back to is titled, “Producer-Screen Actors Guild Codified Basic Agreement of 2005″.
- After watching a Disney Channel show, you comment on how much someone has changed since the last time you saw him/her two months earlier.
- You know how to decode those fluorescent colored signs with unassociated letters written on them which you see hanging up around town.
- You once hung up those signs.
- You own a jib, you often wear C-47s dangling from your hair, and you keep makeup in a toolbox.
- You can’t think of public place in town where you can visit and not be around people who are in the industry…including your own youth group.
To God be the glory.

So I was reading through the book of Amos in the Bible this morning and came across Chapter 4, which is AWESOME.
Let me just share it with you. Think about each of these statements.
(Amos 4:6 - 12)
“I gave you empty stomach in every city and lack of bread in every town,
yet you have not returned to me,” declared the Lord.
“I also witheld rain from you when the harvest was still three month away. I sent rain on one town, but withheld it from another. One field had rain; another had none and dried up. People staggered from town to town for water but did not get enough to drink,
yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord.
“Many times I struck your gardens and vineyards, I struck them with blight and mildew. Locusts devoured your fig and olive trees,
yet you have not returned to me,” declared the Lord.
“I sent plagues among you as I did to Egypt. I killed your young men with the sword, along with your captured horeses. I filled your nostrils with the stench of your camps,
yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord.
“I overthrew some of you as I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. You were like a burning stick natched from the fire,
yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord.
“Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel.”
Ok, first of all. That last statement is SO AWESOME! God is powerful, mighty, and just.
In Amos 3:2, God says, “You only have I chosen of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your sins.”
He’s talking to Israel there. All those things that God did to the people of Israel in Chapter 4…God didn’t do it out of hate or out of poor reasoning. God did it out of love. God did these things to the people of Israel hoping that they would realize their need for God. I wonder how great life would’ve been if after the first one (”I gave you empty stomachs in every city and lack of bread in every town”) the people would’ve have cried out to God for help. If they would’ve turned back to God. God is love!
But, I also wonder, what if these words were spoken about America today? Perhaps it would look something like this? Disclaimer: I do not claim to be a prophet and I do not claim these to be the words of God, I only ask, “what if?”.
Perhaps it would read:
“I gave you empty stomachs in every city and lack of food in every town,
yet you did not return to me,” declares the Lord.
“I crashed the stock markets when your investments were still there. I caused companies to fall and corporations to crumble. I sent resources to one city, while another dried up.
Yet, you did not return to me,” declares the Lord.
“Many times I struck your people, I caused havoc on your soil. I struck down airplanes and tore down great structures. Terrorists devoured your peace and your sense of comfort,
yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord.
“I sent viruses among you, as I did in other parts of the world. I killed your fighting soldiers with mortar rounds, along with captured civilians. I filled your nostrils with the stench of anthrax,
yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord.
“I overthrew some of you as I overthrew the many powerful leaders of the world. You were like a burning stick snatched from the fire,
yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord.
“Therefore this is what I will do to you, America, and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O America.”
Hmmm… When will the country which God blessed with so many resources and which God had intended to use as the base of sending the Gospel throughout the entire world finally return to God?
When will people stop “praying” and start PRAYING. When will people stop condemning the sinners and start praying for the sinners, loving the sinners and showing God’s love to the sinners? When will people begin crying out to God for the lost? When will the Christians realize that their priorities are ALL WRONG? When will the Christians realize that money, and a house, and honestly food don’t matter at all in our lives?

I received three e-mails this morning, all with the subject, “A call to action from former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrinch and U.S. Senator Jim DeMint to stop ACLU supported bill.”
One e-mail was from American Family Association (AFA). The other two were from two people who took action against the bill and it e-mailed me to let me know, asking me to also take action.
AFA states that the “stimulus bill discriminates against Christians and people of faith. The stimulus bans universities and colleges from using funds to renovate buildings where students engage in ‘religious worship’.”
I am a Christian, but I’ve chosen to NOT take action against this bill. In fact, I would much rather take action against American Family Association. I bet I got you curious with that statement. Here’s my three reasons why:
If the “PROHIBITED USES OF FUNDS” paragraph on Pages 164 and 165 is the ONLY thing that it says about “religious worship” … then any lawyer will tell you that that paragraph is NOT prohibiting religious groups from using those buildings, it’s prohibiting the funds to be used to modernize, renovate or repair facilities which purpose is for religious worship. “bans … using funds to renovate buildings where students engage in ‘religious worship’” is an inaccurate statement. If a school gymnasium serves the purpose of providing a gymnasium for a university and a church rents it on Sundays for their services, then that gym does not serve the purpose of “religious worship”, it’s primary purpose is a gym for a school. That gym can still be renovated and a church can still use it. Now, if there is a worship center in a school which is primarily used for the purpose of worship services, then no that worship center can’t be renovated using these funds.
But this is DEFINITELY NOT prohibiting prayer in a dorm room (as AFA stated). Who was smoking what when they wrote that? Here is the excerpt from the Bill on Pages 164 and 165 which AFA included in their e-mail:
(2) PROHIBITED USES OF FUNDS. No funds awarded under this section may be used for - (C) modernization, renovation, or repair of facilities (i) used for sectarian instruction, religious worship, or a school or department of divinity; or (ii) in which a substantial portion of the functions of the facilities are subsumed in a religious mission; or construction of new facilities.
If that above piece is the only thing in the Bill about this, then AFA’s first remark in their e-mail should have been “bans…from using funds to renovate buildings which are used for the primary purpose of students engaging in ‘religious worship’”.
2) I will not take action against this bill because American Family Association said something which is extremely unbiblical - They said, “Christians have not expressed enough outrage focused on the concept that people of faith are being taken advantage of…” WHAT?? Where in the Bible are we told to express outrage against the people who persecute us? Doesn’t Jesus tell us to love everyone? Even our enemies? And Biblically, isn’t it true that ACLU, as stupid as they are, are not our enemies. Doesn’t the Bible tell us that our battles are against satan and his workers? Doesn’t Jesus tell us that we WILL BE PERSECUTED? Doesn’t Jesus imply that, “if you’re persecuted, SUCK IT UP!”
Matthew 5:10 - “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.”
I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have a law telling me I can’t worship and gain the Kingdom of Heaven instead of having a law saying I CAN worship and gain an “easy and fearless worship experience”.
3) Perhaps religious persecution is the only thing left which could possibly save the TERRIBLY APATHETIC AND DYING nation known as the United States and bring them back to their original love for Christ. If you know that you could be imprisoned or killed because of your faith in Christ and you still worship him, then that takes a lot more love, faith, and courage for Christ than knowing that you ”have a right” to stand in a church building and sing ”Make a Joyful Noise”.
And I will not support anything which would prohibit genuine faith.
And all God’s people said…

Wow, two rants in less than 12 hours - that’s a record. I think.
So as I’m waiting for my car to warm up (it’s completely frozen) so that I can make another trip to the states, I’m sitting inside my 66 degree F room thinking about a theory that I have.
There’s a lot of talk about the secular market and secular producers and secular critics not liking Christian film making, even to the point of unnecessarily bashing it. (Yes, 95% of it is either cheesy or low quality, but still…) But, I have a little bit of a theory.
I wonder if it’s actually because they don’t like the movies/shows or the content. Or if it’s because they just don’t like Christian film makers. Now, I know a few Christian film makers, and Greg or David, if you’re reading this, I’m not dissing you here. I love you guys.
But, to be quite honest, in general 9 out of 10 Christian film makers suck at PR. And to be honest, I’m a Christian film maker (I’m a Christian who makes films) and I don’t like Christian film makers either (With a few exceptions of the ones that I know).
Here’s an example. A woman that I know in Los Angeles who has worked in the industry for 30+ years, knows everyone and their brother, discovered a number of big name actors and is also very critical of quality…as busy as she is, she takes the time to talk to me on the phone (on multiple occassions), answer my e-mails (on multiple occassions) and critique my work (on my asking). She watched parts of Completing Kaden and pretty much tore it to shreds. But she was being honest. She watched the trailer for The Scarf, and she loved it.
Then there’s another guy in Los Angeles, he’s a producer. Like, a big time producer. As in he produced I.Robot, Fantastic Four, X-Men: The Last Stand, Rise of the Silver Surfer - and that’s just a portion of the list. When I called and spoke with his assistant and then e-mailed him directly (and no, I don’t know him), he watched the trailer for The Scarf and e-mailed back his comments within the hour. He did say he was glad that we got the movie made.
So that was my experience with two very well established people in the entertainment industry. Here’s my experience with two people who aren’t as well established and happen to be Christian film makers.
The first one e-mailed back saying that he doesn’t have time to watch a 2 minute trailer. The second one had an assistant e-mail back 4 months later using a cookie-cutter reply, and they obviously never even read the e-mail. I was asking them for one simple thing - watch the 2 minute trailer and give me your critique. Apparently, they thought I was trying to pitch a story idea to them - MAN, you guys are full of yourselves. Seriously!
It’s incredible how Jesus taught that Christians should be better at PR (Public Relations) than anyone else, and yet, when it all comes down to it, we Christians suck at it. The well-known important people in Hollywood have the time to help out poor little Kyle, but the Christian film makers who have done a couple things and think they’re all that have no time…hmmm… Something’s wrong here.
So, as I Christian film maker, I do make a commitment to not just talking about this problem, but being the one to fix it by raising the bar and setting the example.
Ok, my car should be warm. Good bye!

Before anyone thinks this - No that title was not supposed to imply that I have no weaknesses and have finally discovered one. Everyone has weaknesses and I’m no exception. It was simply a fun title, :-).
I’ve noticed that one of my weaknesses is this - I look for a fight. Not all the time, but on matters that really erk me, I look for a fight. And that can be a weakness.
But, I’ve also learned something cool - that this weakness could actually be a strength if I focus it in a “spiritual sense”.
When the insurance company is being retarded and I feel like I’m being screwed over by various people who are supposedly “trying to help us recover our losses” … I shouldn’t look for the fight….with them.
Instead, it’s not a matter with them, it’s in fact a spiritual matter, and thus the fight needs to happen on a spiritual level.
On the brink of beginning filming for The Scarf, satan was threatened. He stepped up and attacked. People broke into The Connection around 4:00 AM on Friday, June 6, 2008 and they stole close to $6,000 worth of equipment.
But too bad for satan, because he’s a fool … the insurance company covered our losses. We filmed a movie, and it’s near the end of post production. Hmm…meh.
Then, just a few days ago, we were on the brink of kicking off our “New Youth” at The Connection. And sometime between 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 13 and 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 14, someone broke into The Connection again (after we spent $1,500 on upping the security) and they stole another $5,000 or so worth of equipment. (I kind of wish they would’ve stolen one of my cameras, since insurance covers replacement costs rather than actual value, haha).
Satan was threatened and he attacked. But, like I told the youth at The Connection on Friday, January 16 during our New Youth Kick-off, “Here at The Connection, our master is God, and therefore, nothing stops us.”
And I believe that.
I know satan has power. But I serve one who is way more powerful. In fact, power BELONGS TO the one whom I serve. I serve Jesus Christ.
If you know me, you know that I don’t give up. And you know that when I do lose, I never lose without a fight (or four). There’s a song by “Delirious?” called History Maker, and I’ve officially made that the theme song for my life.
So here’s my message to satan and his workers, because I they’ll eventually read this - “Satan, you are a foolish, hopeless, sore losser who will never win. So, for your own sake, give up now in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazarath because Maple Ridge belongs to God. You’re on our turf and you’re not welcome. So step off! Now!”
As long as I’m in God’s will, Nothing will stop me…period.

One news source this morning said, “Following a Democratic Party victory in the U.S. federal election, the U.S. dollar is higher on Wednesday morning.”
They are true in the fact that the US Dollar rose by a little more than half a penny over night, making it just above $1.15 Canadian instead of the high $1.14 Canadian.
But, have you been watching the US Dollar? Or are you simply listening to the bull crap that the biased news sources are feeding you?
I live in Canada, and I rely on support from the U.S., therefore, I am very good about watching the U.S. Dollar, because when it’s up, I make a few extra bucks. I check it at lease once every two days, maybe more. Especially when I getting ready to make certain transactions which the value of U.S. Dollar would effect.
So here is the WHOLE truth that the media won’t tell you:
In January, 2007 - the US Dollar was up to $1.18 Canadian, and stayed there pretty steadily for a while. In the Spring, that’s when the downward movement started. By December of 2007, the U.S. Dollar was down to $0.93 Canadian at it’s lowest. (That’s Really Low). It slowly crept back up and by June, 2008 it was up to $0.98 Canadian.
Then, in October, 2008, the US Dollar began to rally back up. It went from $1.04 at it’s lowest to $1.29 CAD at it’s highest in just a couple weeks. That’s a HUGE and unprecedented gain in such a short of time. Keep in mind that this is BEFORE the Democrats got in control.
Oct. 20, the US Dollar was at $1.20 CAD. Oct. 24, it was up to $1.21 CAD. Oct. 28 it was up to $1.29 Canadian. Then it started a little bit of a fall. By Oct. 30, it was down to $1.18 CAD. On Oct. 31 (the next day), it was back up to $1.21. It rose 3 cents overnight. But then, it fell. 7 cents in 4 days.
On election day, November 4, the US Dollar was down to $1.14 CAD. Then, on November 5, the US Dollar rose to $1.15 CAD. And based on the pattern of EVERY time this happens, what happens just a few days after the Dollar goes up 1 to 4 cents overnight? It falls.
Biased news sources tell you that the dollar rose due to the Democratic victory - WRONG! It is merely fluctuating at the $1.14/$1.15 area before it makes a turn downward or upward (like it has been doing lately). What they don’t tell you is that when President Bush won his second term, the US Dollar rose $0.08 from $1.32 CAD to $1.40 CAD within a couple days.
Besides, the U.S. Dollar also rose half a penny the day after W. Bush was elected over Al Gore in 2000 (to $1.53 CAD), and less than half a penny the day after Clinton was elected for a second term defeating Bob Dole in 1996, and it also rose 2/10 of a penny the day after Clinton won his first term, defeating Bush Sr. in 1992.
Perhaps it doesn’t even have anything to do with which party is in control, or a change in party. Perhaps it’s more to do with, just a change in person … OR, more to do with people knowing that the president has been elected, and there’s no longer a question about it.
The other part they don’t tell you, is even though the U.S. dollar rose by half a penny overnight (which in fact, if you read the entire news article I quoted, they tell you what the US Dollar is up to, but they DON’T tell you what it was at yesterday or how much of a gain, they just said, “It’s up”….Biased anyone?) … Anyway, the other part they don’t tell you, is that OVERNIGHT last night, the price of Gold dropped by over $14 per ounce.
Commodity traders are at a loss. And commodity traders are also saying, “Indeed, conditions now are arguably more uncertain now than at any time since the 1970’s and even the 1930’s.”
I’m sure that’s definately what everyone wants to hear - that now that Obama has been elected into office, the financial conditions of the U.S. are more uncertain than they were during the Great Depression. Sounds like a winner to me!
Well… you’ve done it to yourself America. I tried to help by voting for McCain, and my state was a battleground state where McCain won by such a small percentage. But for those of you who voted for Obama, you are obviously more concerned about Ethanol policies than about babies, the economic crisis, and religious freedoms.
Besides, on a side note, wasn’t it our previous scandalist democratic president the one who, in a sense, triggered the “War on Terrorism”? During the Clinton administration, you could flip on the news one day to see, “Clinton ordered bombers to bomb Iraq” … Didn’t that seem a little … I don’t know … out of no where?? And then we wonder why Terrorists from that area come and attack the U.S. in 2001 … perhaps they were mad and angry at the U.S. for bombing them out of the blue in 1999. I don’t know, just a thought.
As a history professor of mine (who was the type of person who didn’t vote for a party, but voted for the best candidate) once said, “It’s always the things the previous president does in their last year of office which the next president has to clean up and ultimately gets blamed for, even when it’s not his fault.”
So I bid this Good bye great nation of America and hello terrible socialist Obamica.

“Billy, you need to be more serious during this time. Why can’t you be more mature?”
But what does the word “mature” really mean? Has it really been used properly by teachers, youth ministers, parents, or other students?Does Billy really need to be more mature? Or does he need to be more ecclastic? What’s the difference? What does ecclastic even mean?
mature [muh-chur or muh-too r]: complete in natural growth or development; fully developed in body or mind.
Among the many sub-definitions of the word “mature” … very few actually refer to people. Most are referring to animals, plants, industry, technology, finance, medical, or restrictions on movies and/or games. But, of the few sub-definitions of the word “mature” which actually refer to humans, none of them have a definition which accurately defines the word according to the way it is used among millions of individuals throughout our North American society.
Here’s what I mean.
You walk into a middle school (let’s say Grades 7 and 8), and you spot one seventh grader who really sticks out in your mind. And you say, “Now that kid is mature for his age.” What does that statement mean? Does it mean:
A) His or her body is pretty well developed for their age. They physically look closer to an adult than most people that age.
B) His or her mind has a much more abstract and/or empathetic thought process instead of a concrete and/or sympathetic thought process than most others their age.
C) He or she is a lot more serious and/or a lot less hyper than most of the surrounding kids. He or she realizes that the current place and/or situation isn’t the best place to mess around.
As (A) and (B) would be the two correct ways of using that word. (C) is the typical way it is used. However, (C) is not, according to the definition of the word, the correct use of the word.
“Those kids are on a select team, so you think they’d be a little more mature. But there are some orangutans on it.” As funny as that quote which I heard said by a mother in the hospital waiting room earlier today after her son’s head was severly cut open by another team mate chucking a Gatorade bottle at him … that word “mature” was actually used incorrectly.
Do I say this to correct someone? No. But do I say this to tackle ignorance? Yes.
So if the word “mature” is referring to the physical and/or mental development of someone, but not necessarily the behavior and/or behavioral development (as mental development is referring to a 10 year old child’s concrete and sympathetic mind maturing to a more abstract and empathetic mind by the age of 13 or 14), then what word would be used to correctly say what you’re trying to say.
Well thank God there is a word … a new word at that: ecclastic.
Ecclastic [i-klas-tik]: The ability to distinguish between the proper time to have fun and the proper time to be serious; The ability and/or characteristic of being able to differentiate between those two times.
The word ecclastic is similar to a long-standing yet unofficial definition of the word “mature”.
It’s interesting that it’s spelt with two c’s while it is pronounced as if there is only one ‘c’. The extra ‘c’ reminds us that the word is derived from Ecclesiastes 3 where we read that, “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven:…” and it goes on with a list, a time for this, a time for that.
So, you’re teaching a message in your youth group and you see those two middle school boys in the back making constant noises, laughing, giggling, etc. Do you say,
A) They aren’t very mature.
B) They aren’t very ecclastic.
The correct answer to that would be (B), they aren’t very ecclastic. They may be very mature. They may have very abstract minds. Their bodies may be very well developed (or at least developed to the level of maturity common for their age). But, they may not be able to distinguish the difference between the time to be serious, or the time to goof around. Serious meaning, “Being earnest or sincere; requiring thought, concentration, or application”.
Which then brings me to my next question. Maturity is something which develops naturally over time. According to the dictionary definition of maturity, maturity can NOT be learned. It must naturally develop over time … the body must naturally mature, the brain must naturally mature and develop.
But, is ecclastity (or being ecclastic), something which naturally develops over time? Or is it something which must be taught, learnt, trained, worked on, practiced?
Perhaps, a bit of both, but more so the latter.
Being ecclastic is something which must be worked on. Someone who is 25 years old would more than likely have a body which is fully matured and a brain which is fully matured, both mentally and physically. However, he may not be very ecclastic. I’ve seen many people in their mid-20s who are less ecclastic than many 6th grader students that I know. It’s incredible.
And so, that would lead me to believe that being ecclastic is something that must be worked on. And it is something that we as leaders must teach as something which must be practiced.
Other than the fact that it’s the wrong use of a word … what’s the harm in saying “mature” where you really mean “ecclastic”?
A valid question, of course. Why change your lingo if there is no harm done? Or is there harm done? When you tell a 13 year old who is still going through ”certain changes” (aka puberty) that he/she isn’t very mature, what does that make him/her wonder? “What’s wrong with me?” “Why aren’t I developing?” “Is there something not right here?” Catch my drift?
They may very well interpret it the correct way and thus be even more confused during this already confusing time of life. Your job as a leader is not to confuse them even more, but to help them not be confused. To help them understand the normallities of maturing.
So … Mature or Ecclastic? Which word will you use?

True Americans honor sacrifice.
False “americans” disown sacrifice.
True Christians understand sacrifice.
False “christians” fear sacrifice.
Hopeless are saved by sacrifice.
False: (fôls) “not faithful or loyal”
Sacrifice: (sāk’rə-fīs’) “Forfeiture of something highly valued for the sake of one considered to have a greater value or claim.”
2 Timothy 2:1-3 (ESV) - You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 2:8-13 (ESV) - Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel, for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound! Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. The saying is trustworthy, for:
If we have died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.
September 10th, 2008
So it’s 8:04 AM Saturday morning, I got up at 7:45 because I had to be somewhere by about 9:45 this morning (which is about an hour away from me, and I still had to clean out my van).
There’s a Starfield concert in town with Shane & Shane, Bethany Dillon and some other guy (that’s even how I promoted it to my youth group, I can never remember his name), and I was supposed to meet them at 10:00 AM this morning and help drive the artists around to their hotel or wherever they needed to go. And I received an e-mail saying that the show’s been canceled, becuase during last night’s concert, the floor of the auditorium of the church they were in collapsed into the basement.
So…I realized I could’ve taken this two ways. One would be “Will that really sucks! Those tickets were like $20 each and I really wanted to go, wah, wah, wah.” But that’s not how I took it - I realized that the best way to take it was this…
God worked everything out.
There’s a couple news articles on it already this morning - here’s one at http://www.bclocalnews.com/news/18243769.html. Not just bad things came out of it, even some good came out of it. But let me start at the beginning:
Last Friday night, I had a sign up sheet at my youth group for how many people wanted to go, and I didn’t order the tickets yet, because I didn’t know how many to order. So I waited until I got home from youth last Friday night, I went online to the ticket web site, and they were all sold out!!! AHHH!!! There was another show in another town that was also an hour away, just the opposite direction, so we could’ve gone to that one, because it wasn’t sold it, but it was on a Friday night…and we have youth on Friday night, so that wouldn’t work. But, thankfully, I have a connection at the venue where the concert was being held and e-mailed her about my situation and they were able to come up with the tickets that I needed - she told me to pay for them when I got there this morning.
Well…the concert that we could’ve gone to, except it was on a Friday night, was the one where this “floor collapse” happened. Praise God that we weren’t there for that.
I didn’t pay for the tickets yet, so I don’t have to worry about that and can easily give my youth their money back, because it’s sitting on my desk…praise God that I didn’t have to mess with refunds from the ticket company.
The article that I included in here talks about a girl at the concert who saw the floor collapsing and she began to pray. There weren’t really that many serious injuries, it was just a lot of cuts and bruises…praise God for that! And, Praise God that a community news paper wrote in their newspaper, “She prayed and God must have answered her prayers…”
And lastly…I’m sure there’s a bunch of people who think that Christians are just these boring people that sit in pews and sing hymns all day long … well, now the world knows that YES, Christians CAN rock … They can rock hard enough to make floors collapse.
So whatever happens, praise God!
